KMP Blog for the Month of April 2020

It Is Time To Pray!

Welcome to our Blog for the month of April.  At the present time we are all practicing “Social Distancing.”  Some of us are working from home; that may seem strange!  Others are working on finding  new jobs in order to make it through these trying times; that may seem very strange!  Our hearts, here at KMP, are saddened for those who are suffering the loss of jobs and their financial support.  At our office many of us take time to pray for the numerous homes and families around us who are unsure as to how they will provide food and essentials for their loved-ones.

Maybe you know of such a family; a family who is suffering due to the shut-down of their shop or business.  I am trusting and believing that the gracious employees of our company will reach out to such a family and offer help in a tangible way.  After talking to you, I know that your hearts are full of love and kindness for the many Mom’s and Dad’s who are worried about providing for their children.  I know that you are willing to give from your abundance to meet the needs of those who are hurting.  And for these many “helping-hands” within our KMP family, I am eternally thankful.

You are wondering about our company?  Please be assured and know that we have reached out and contacted numerous organizations and offered our assistance.  We have contacted local churches who may have a family that need help.  We have offered financial help to the Pleasant Hills Children’s Home that operates only on donations and offerings.   We have reached out to a ministry in the downtown area of Fort Worth that help girls who are homeless, abused or suffering from other life controlling problems.  We have also helped certain ones in our KMP family who have found themselves in a position of need because of COVID-19.

These are trying times for all of us.  While watching others who are suffering from the rage of this awful pandemic; our mouths are filled with words of thankfulness that we have been sheltered from this horrible outbreak.  And while we are thankful, our hearts are full of prayers for these very ones that we see hurting and who are fearful of the days that are ahead.  It may seem somewhat trite to some and it may seem insignificant to others; but this is a time for all of us to be praying that there will be an end to this terrible sickness that has infected our world.

My desire is that during this time that we do not feel defeated but that we go through our days knowing that God is in control.   That we trust in Him knowing that He is bigger than any virus and He is stronger than any fear and He is an ever present help in times of trouble.  The Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face … then will I hear from heaven … and will heal their land.” To my KMP family I say — “It is time to pray!”
